Not a list. One thing you have been carrying. I will ask you three questions before I turn a card.

No. 47 · A private sitting · 99p
One question. Three cards, turned by hand on the velvet. A voice at the other end of the line, and no one else listening.
Bring the question you have not said out loud. Camera optional. The line opens at dusk.
Not a list. One thing you have been carrying. I will ask you three questions before I turn a card.
A proper 78-card deck, shuffled on the velvet. Three cards, or five if the matter is stubborn. I read them as they fall.
About twelve minutes. No subscription. No second door. Ninety-nine pence, once.
Come in, love. Sit down. I keep a tent at the edge of the fair, and I read for one person at a time. Before I turn the cards I will ask you three things: what has been sitting heavy, what you hope for, and what you are afraid I might say.
I ask because the cards are only paper, and you are not. The rest is candlelight, a steady hand, and the old habit of looking at what you would rather leave in the dark.
Bring one question. I will bring the deck.
